Raptors Elevate GM Bobby Webster to Executive VP

The Toronto Raptors have recently extended the contract of their general manager, Bobby Webster, to a multi-year deal and elevated him to the role of executive vice president, the NBA franchise announced on Monday. Additionally, the Raptors have also renewed the contracts of key front office personnel including Dan Tolzman, Keith Boyarsky, and Tyla Flexman.

In a statement, Keith Pelley, the chief executive officer of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, praised Webster’s exceptional understanding of the game and the NBA, commending him for building a competitive team. Pelley expressed confidence in Webster’s leadership and the team’s performance, highlighting the positive results seen under his guidance.

Webster, aged 41, is embarking on his 10th season as the Raptors’ general manager. The specific terms of the extension were not disclosed to the public. He took over full control of the Raptors’ basketball operations in August 2025 following the departure of former president Masai Ujiri.

Since joining the team in 2013, Webster has been instrumental in the Raptors’ success, with the team making nine playoff appearances and securing the NBA championship in 2019. Under Webster’s leadership, the Raptors boast a regular-season record of 591-455, including five seasons with over 50 wins. In the 2025-26 season, the Raptors finished with a 46-36 record and pushed the Cleveland Cavaliers to a seven-game playoff series.
