A motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized following an incident near the Surrey-Delta border in British Columbia. The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon at the junction of Scott Road, 72nd Avenue, and 120th Street, involving a motorcycle and a car, as reported by the Delta police.

The rider suffered significant but non-life-threatening injuries, while the sedan driver emerged unharmed. Photos and videos shared online depict the motorcycle hanging from an overhead traffic signal post after the collision, creating a rare sight that attracted a crowd of spectators.

Witnesses described the scene as surreal, with onlookers capturing the event on their phones while emergency services worked to lower the suspended motorcycle. Surrey resident William Chan, who stumbled upon the crash on his way to a nearby doughnut shop, expressed his amazement at the unusual sight.

The crash led to the closure of Scott Road between 70th Avenue and 72nd Avenue as authorities cleared the wreckage. Delta Firefighters IAFF Local 1763 also responded to the scene, providing medical assistance, ensuring safety, and assisting in removing the motorcycle from the traffic light.
