Taylor Swift has emerged as the top artist on Spotify’s inaugural list of most streamed artists. Following closely behind is Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican sensation. Bad Bunny, also known as Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, claimed the title of Spotify’s most played artist of the year for the fourth time in 2025, overtaking Swift. The two artists have been in a back-and-forth battle for the top spot, with Swift leading in the previous two years and Bad Bunny reigning from 2020 to 2023.
Drake secures the third spot on Spotify’s all-time most streamed artist list, with The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Eminem, Kanye West, Travis Scott, BTS, Post Malone, Bruno Mars, J Balvin, Rihanna, Coldplay, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Juice WRLD following in that order.
Spotify has not disclosed details about its data collection methodology when questioned by The Associated Press. In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Spotify has compiled lists of its most streamed albums, songs, podcasts, and audiobooks.
