“Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg Revive ‘The Littlest Hobo’ for New Generation”

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are tapping into nostalgia with their latest project, a reimagining of the iconic Canadian series, “The Littlest Hobo,” for a modern audience. Announced recently by Bell Media, the new version of “The Littlest Hobo” will be a live-action scripted series.

The original show, which aired from 1979 to 1985 on CTV, followed the adventures of a clever German shepherd that roamed from town to town, aiding people in need. Rogen and Goldberg, who described the show as a significant part of their childhood, expressed their enthusiasm for bringing it back for a new generation.

The duo assured fans that while the hobo might be little in size, the upcoming adventures would be grand in scale. They emphasized that the hobo would remain small and not transform into a giant like Clifford the Big Red Dog.

The production team has yet to announce details regarding casting and the premiere date of the series. This revival is a product of the collaboration between Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures, Goldberg, and Lionsgate. The partnership follows the success of their award-winning comedy series, “The Studio,” which humorously depicts the lives of movie studio executives.

Rogen and Goldberg, both Vancouver natives, have a successful track record in the entertainment industry with projects like “Superbad,” “Pineapple Express,” “The Boys,” and the revival of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” They have expressed their commitment to creating top-notch content for Canadian audiences, aiming for both creative excellence and financial success in their partnership with Bell Media and Lionsgate Canada.
