Quebec provincial authorities have authorized the arrest of a 54-year-old man from Laval in connection with the killing of Charalambos Theologou, a reputed member of organized crime who was fatally shot in a brazen attack at a Starbucks establishment. The suspect, Denis Beaupré, has been missing since October 5, 2025, following the incident on October 1. Police have linked Beaupré to Theologou’s murder and have charged him with first-degree murder and reckless use of a firearm.
Beaupré, who has a criminal background and affiliations with the Hells Angels motorcycle gang, has a history of legal issues, including a previous conviction for assault with a weapon in 2016. Theologou’s violent death, captured on security cameras, occurred when two masked assailants entered a busy Starbucks in the Chomedey area of Laval, Quebec, targeting Theologou and his associates.
The operation conducted by provincial police in Vankleek Hill, Ontario, was related to Beaupré’s disappearance. Theologou, also known as “Bobby the Greek,” was reported to be the leader of a group referred to as the Chomedey Greeks. During the shooting, an undercover police officer who had been monitoring Theologou was present at the scene.
Authorities have described Beaupré as approximately five feet eleven inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with blue eyes and blondish-red hair. Concerns for his well-being were raised when he went missing. Officials are urging anyone with information on Beaupré’s whereabouts to contact them at 1-800-659-4264.
