“Drake Hosts Exclusive Apology Party for Janices”

If you are named Janice and have felt offended by Drake’s track Janice STFU, there is good news for you (as long as you can present valid government ID).

Spokespersons for the rapper, a Toronto native, have confirmed his intention to reconcile by hosting an exclusive apology gathering solely for individuals named Janice.

“All Janices in NY, LA, MIA, TO, HOU, watch out for your invite for Sunday,” he announced on his Instagram story, referencing New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, and Houston.

Beneath the text in the video lies a pile of letters, apparently all designated for individuals named Janice.

Described as “a formal apology to the Janices of Toronto,” Drake’s representatives verified through email that physical invitations had been sent to Janices throughout the city.

The email stated that if anyone’s legal first name is Janice and they have not received an invitation, they can still RSVP by emailing JSTFU@DRAKERELATED.COM.

To gain entry, you must possess government-issued photo ID to confirm that your legal first name is indeed Janice, as per the email confirmation. Only first names are accepted — no nicknames, middle names, or surnames.

This initiative originates from Drake’s popular single, Janice STFU, featured in his album ICEMAN.

The song achieved the top position on both the Billboard Global 200 and the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. With this track, his 14th to reach the summit, Drake surpassed Michael Jackson, securing the title for the most No. 1 hits by a male solo artist.

This song was part of a surprise release of a triple album that included ICEMAN, Habibti, and Maid of Honour. Altogether, 42 songs from this collection made it onto the Hot 100 chart, with Maid of Honour and Habibti debuting at the top of the Billboard Global 200 as well.

The representatives have confirmed that the event in Toronto is scheduled for Sunday, June 28, from 1-4 p.m. ET at the Cactus Club on Adelaide St.
