Hudson Williams appears to have reached a tipping point with individuals trailing him in public.
The actor from “Heated Rivalry” was captured on video in a heated exchange with alleged autograph seekers in Paris over the weekend. Various recordings of the incident circulated online, including via Page Six and Deux Moi.
In one of the clips, Williams is seen getting out of a vehicle and immediately approached by men requesting his autograph. “Guys, you just followed me to my residence,” Williams expressed. “This is peculiar. You guys are not fans. You’re acting quite creepy by following me, okay? This is not acceptable.”
The footage then shows him taking the photos he was asked to sign and trying to set them ablaze with a lighter. A man can be heard apologizing, and Williams responds by instructing them to leave.
The 25-year-old Canadian actor, accompanied by his girlfriend and three others, is then trailed by the individuals recording as they head towards a building, some carrying suitcases.
Williams tears up one of the photos and tosses the pieces on the ground. Meanwhile, his girlfriend returns a folder containing the remaining photos and instructs a person filming to leave.
At one point, one of the men admonishes Williams for using profanity when telling them to depart.
CBC News reached out for further comment from the star’s representatives but has not received a response.
While Williams has not directly addressed the incident, shortly after the video surfaced online, he shared an Instagram post from a professional bodyguard he had been collaborating with in Paris.
The reactions to the social media videos have been varied. While some criticized Williams’ actions, labeling him as a “loser actor,” others praised his decision to stand up for himself, suggesting he was defending his peace.
Several individuals compared the incident to a similar situation involving Chappell Roan in Paris earlier in March, highlighting a potential double standard in how men and women are expected to handle interactions with paparazzi and fans.
