Garlic powder available at Dollarama has been recalled, with a caution for Canadians to avoid consuming the impacted product. The recall specifically pertains to Heavenly Spices brand garlic powder packaged in 70 grams and distributed nationwide. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) recently shared the recall notice issued by the discount retailer. CFIA’s statement advises against using, selling, serving, or distributing the affected garlic powder due to potential Bacillus cereus contamination. This bacterium can lead to food poisoning, causing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
