Justin Bieber, the renowned Canadian artist, has been revealed as one of the co-headliners for the inaugural FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show. The star-studded lineup will also feature Madonna, Shakira, and BTS, along with other talented musicians like Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS22 Chorus. This special 11-minute show aims to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which seeks to raise $100 million to enhance access to quality education and sports for children worldwide. According to Hugh Evans, the co-founder and CEO of Global Citizen, this event brings together artists from around the world to create opportunities for children globally.
This performance marks Bieber’s return to the stage since his headline performance at Coachella earlier this year. The World Cup Final is scheduled for July 19 at the New York New Jersey stadium, also known as Metlife Stadium. The concept of integrating a musical performance into the traditional soccer event has sparked mixed reactions among fans, with some questioning the need for a halftime show. Despite the anticipation surrounding this groundbreaking show, some broadcasters like BBC and ITV may opt out of airing the halftime festivities in favor of more conventional analysis and punditry.
