“Canadiens Seek Redemption in Game 2 Against Sabres”

The Montreal Canadiens aim to even the score in the second-round series against the Buffalo Sabres as they face off at the KeyBank Center tonight. After a 4-2 defeat in the series opener on Wednesday, the Canadiens find themselves trailing for the first time in this year’s NHL playoffs.

In their previous first-round matchup with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Montreal started strong by winning the first game, but the teams traded wins back and forth, resulting in a tense seven-game victory for the Canadiens. Buffalo, making their first playoff appearance since 2011, showcased a different style in their win on Wednesday, relying on skillful puck movement rather than sheer power.

Despite Montreal’s top scorer Cole Caufield struggling to make an impact in the playoffs, he will be eager to make his mark in Game 2. The series will shift to Montreal’s Bell Centre for Game 3 on Sunday.
