During a recent match against the St. Louis Cardinals, the Milwaukee Brewers right-hander delivered an outstanding performance, throwing 57 pitches exceeding 100 mph. This achievement marked the highest number of such pitches by an individual in a single game since pitch tracking began in 2008, leading to 12 strikeouts, matching his career high.
Misiorowski, expressing his confidence in his ability, stated, “That’s what I do. I throw hard.” His impressive feat surpassed the previous record of 47 100-mph pitches in a game, set by Cincinnati’s Hunter Greene in 2022. Throughout the game, Misiorowski consistently reached speeds of 101 mph on 40 pitches, hitting 102 mph on 22 occasions, and peaking at 103.4 mph three times. Notably, nine of his strikeouts were attributed to pitches exceeding 100 mph, equaling Greene’s single-game record.
Under the management of Pat Murphy, Misiorowski’s dominant performance earned praise, with Murphy describing it as “magnificent” and one of the best he has witnessed in a while. The 24-year-old pitcher has been consistently excelling in recent games, evident in his impressive statistics for the month.
