Steve O’Rourke has stepped down as head coach of the Seattle Torrent following the team’s last-place finish in the PWHL standings during its debut season. The decision was announced by general manager Meghan Turner, who characterized it as a mutual agreement. Turner expressed appreciation for O’Rourke’s efforts with the Seattle Torrent in their first year, wishing him and his family well in their future endeavors. Prior to his role with the Torrent, the 51-year-old O’Rourke served as the coach for the Oshawa Generals, a junior team in the Ontario Hockey League.
