Nathan Fielder, the Vancouver-born comedian, writer, and director, has unveiled a teaser for his upcoming project following the latest season of “The Rehearsal.” The new venture is a documentary focusing on Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, who was convicted of fraud in 2022 for misleading claims about revolutionary blood-testing technology. Fielder’s collaboration with filmmaker Lance Oppenheim resulted in the creation of “You Can See Everything,” which delves into the events leading up to Holmes’s imprisonment in 2023.
Oppenheim, known for his works such as “Spermworld” (2024) and “Some Kind of Heaven” (2020), joins Fielder in this project. Fielder gained prominence through “Nathan For You,” a show on Comedy Central where he provides unconventional business advice. The documentary, set to be distributed by A24, showcases a distinctive visual style and an intriguing dialogue scene between Holmes and Fielder.
A surprise screening of the trailer took place at the Telluride Film Festival, garnering enthusiastic responses from critics on social media. Director Daniel Howat hailed the documentary as “hysterical, shocking, and insane,” while music producer Erik Nordgren praised it as the best film of the year. The anticipation surrounding “You Can See Everything” draws parallels to Fielder’s past uncomfortable interviews, such as the one with former CBC president Hubert T. Lacroix.
“You Can See Everything” is slated for a theatrical release next month, promising an engaging exploration of the Elizabeth Holmes saga.
