In a separate game, Finland defeated the United States 6-2 in Group A in Zurich. Lenni Hameenaho stood out with two goals and an assist for Finland, while Matt Coronato scored for the U.S. Patrik Puistola, Aatu Raty, and Saku Maenalanen added to Finland’s lead before Anton Lundell sealed the victory.
The U.S. now holds a 1-2 record and will face Germany next, while host Switzerland also maintained a perfect record with a 6-1 win over Germany in the same group.
