“Secret Service Agent Struck by Gunfire at WH Dinner”

Authorities have confirmed that a Secret Service agent was struck by buckshot from the gun of the man accused of attempting to breach the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner with the intention of harming President Donald Trump. Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, stated that there was no friendly fire involved in the incident at a Washington hotel on April 25. She further elaborated on Sunday, revealing that a pellet from one of Cole Tomas Allen’s firearms penetrated the officer’s bullet-resistant vest, conclusively linking it to Allen.

The injured officer survived the attack, while Allen, currently held in custody awaiting trial, sustained injuries but was not shot. Newly released video footage of the incident, shared by Pirro, depicts the chaotic scene where a man armed with guns and knives tried to breach the media event attended by journalists and government officials.

Allen, a 31-year-old resident of Torrance, Calif., faces charges of attempted presidential assassination and two additional firearm-related offenses. If found guilty of the assassination charge, he could be sentenced to life in prison. Allen’s occupation as a part-time tutor and amateur video game developer has also been disclosed.

Attempts to reach Allen’s legal representatives were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
