Toronto Police Close Case on Missing Teen, No Charges Filed

Toronto police have concluded their investigation into the disappearance of a teenager who went missing for nearly two weeks and have confirmed that no criminal charges will be pressed. The 14-year-old girl was first reported missing from Earl Bales Park on May 15. Law enforcement officers, along with K-9 units and local residents, extensively searched the North York park for any traces of the missing girl. Authorities announced that she was located in a residence on May 28 and appeared to be in good physical condition. While indicating that they would probe for any potential criminal elements related to her extended absence, police did not find any grounds for charges. The girl’s family, upon her safe return, expressed gratitude and urged the public to avoid making speculative comments.
