In a thrilling Northern Super League matchup on Saturday, Mya Jones made a significant impact coming off the bench for the Calgary Wild. Jones scored two crucial goals, with the second one coming deep into stoppage time, securing a 2-2 draw against the Montreal Roses.
The Roses took the lead 24 minutes into the game thanks to a goal by Lisa Pechersky. However, Jones leveled the score in the 85th minute, only for Claire Monyard to quickly respond and put the Roses back in front.
Despite the Wild being winless so far this season with a record of 0-2-1, Jones’ heroics salvaged a valuable point for her team. The Roses, on the other hand, maintain their unbeaten streak with a record of 3-0-1.
