Prince George celebrated his 13th birthday on Wednesday, and Kensington Palace unveiled a fresh photo of the young royal in honor of the special day. The image, shared on X, captures Prince George, the son of Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, exuding confidence in a dark suit paired with an open-collar white shirt while casually placing his hands in his pockets.
Renowned photographer Matt Porteous captured the photo during the Trooping the Colour ceremony last month, as reported by the BBC. Second in line to the throne after his father, Prince George, the grandson of King Charles, has gradually embraced more public duties with age. Notably, he assisted his father in serving lunch at a London homeless shelter last December.
In September, Prince George is set to begin his education at the prestigious Eton College, following in his father’s footsteps. He is the eldest among his siblings; his sister, Princess Charlotte, is 11 years old, while his brother, Prince Louis, is eight.
