American media personality Kim Kardashian has revealed that she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, according to reports from U.S. media outlets. The announcement was made during a teaser for the seventh season of her reality show, “The Kardashians,” now airing on Hulu.
In the clip, Kardashian shared that doctors discovered a small aneurysm following an MRI scan. She mentioned that the medical professionals suggested that stress might have played a role in the development of the condition, citing the strain she experienced after her divorce from musician Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) in 2022.
Despite some doctors cautioning against the widespread use of full-body MRI scans, Kardashian has previously advocated for their benefits. It remains unclear if Kardashian was experiencing any symptoms related to the aneurysm, as her agent, public relations representative, and attorney did not respond immediately to requests for comment from Reuters.
A brain aneurysm involves the enlargement or bulging of blood vessels in the brain, which can lead to a brain bleed if ruptured, known as a hemorrhagic stroke. While brain aneurysms are relatively common and often non-life-threatening, especially when small, they are frequently detected during tests for other health issues.
Although stress is not typically identified as a direct trigger for brain aneurysms, it can contribute to high blood pressure, a known risk factor for the condition, as per information from Johns Hopkins.
In addition to her role as a lawyer in the Hulu series “Alls Fair,” Kardashian has been dedicated to completing her Law Office Study Program over the past year, a six-year commitment aimed at becoming a trial lawyer. Earlier in the year, she provided testimony in the trial of a criminal gang known as the “grandpa robbers,” who were accused of stealing millions of dollars’ worth of jewelry from her at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week in 2016.
