Ottawa’s Gabriela Dabrowski and her doubles partner Erin Routliffe from New Zealand have decided to part ways as a team. The duo achieved success by winning three doubles titles in 2025, clinching victories in Stuttgart, Cincinnati, and at the U.S. Open.
Reflecting on their journey, Dabrowski shared on Instagram, “Titles, tears, and triumphs – a rollercoaster of emotions that took us by surprise. As our business partnership concludes, our friendship endures.”
Despite representing New Zealand in competition, Routliffe holds Canadian citizenship and had previously competed for Canada. Dabrowski and Routliffe joined forces in 2023, capturing their first Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open that same year.
While the official split was announced on Wednesday, Dabrowski and Routliffe had already started playing with different partners towards the end of the recent season. However, they reunited for the WTA Finals before going their separate ways.
