“CF Montreal Fires Assistant Coach Amid Mystery”

CF Montreal has terminated assistant coach Maxime Leconte after an internal disciplinary review. The Major League Soccer team made the announcement without disclosing the specific reason for Leconte’s dismissal, citing confidentiality.

Leconte, a 35-year-old from France, had only been with the club for a brief period since joining the coaching staff in May. His departure comes following the appointment of Marco Donadel as CF Montreal’s permanent head coach two weeks ago.

Donadel, who had been serving as interim coach since March, led the team through a challenging season that concluded with a 6-18-10 record. CF Montreal had the youngest squad and the lowest payroll in Major League Soccer.

The club has recently pledged a rebuild in an open letter to fans as losses accumulated throughout the season.
