In a thrilling CPL Contender semifinal match at Hamilton Stadium, the Cavalry defeated Forge FC, the regular-season champions, with a narrow 1-0 victory. Tobias Warschewski was the hero, scoring in the 57th minute for the Cavalry. They are now set to clash with Atletico Ottawa in the upcoming North Star Cup final scheduled for next Sunday. The North Star Cup has replaced the North Star Shield, which used to be awarded to the CPL champions from 2019 to 2022.
