Canadiens’ Dach Out with Fractured Foot

Montreal Canadiens’ Kirby Dach, a forward, has sustained a fractured foot and is set to be sidelined for four to six weeks, as per the team’s announcement on Sunday. In response to this setback, the team has brought up Joshua Roy, a forward, from their American Hockey League partner, the Laval Rocket.

This injury adds to a series of challenges for the Canadiens. Recently, the team disclosed the extended absences of forward Alex Newhook and defenseman Kaiden Guhle following surgical procedures. Newhook’s surgery on his right ankle took place on Friday, anticipating a recovery period of four months. On the other hand, Guhle underwent surgery on Thursday for a partially torn adductor muscle, and his recovery timeline is estimated at eight to ten weeks.

Throughout this season, Dach has contributed five goals and two assists in 15 games.
