The Grammy-nominated pop star, aged 75, remains in intensive care and is described as “very unwell.” She was placed in a medically induced coma but has now emerged from it.
Although her condition is improving, the recovery process is slow, as per the statement released on Monday. Tyler’s doctors are optimistic about her eventual recovery but emphasize that it will require time and patience. Due to her health situation, Tyler has had to cancel or postpone her shows scheduled up to August. However, there is still hope that her autumn performances will proceed as planned.
Best known for her 1980s hit song “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” Bonnie Tyler, originally from Wales, gained fame with earlier songs like “It’s a Heartache” in 1978.
