“Canadian Lott Duo Dominates with Back-to-Back Wins”

Canada’s Colton and Kadriana Lott claimed two victories on Sunday, triumphing over the United States with a 7-3 win. This victory followed their earlier 10-4 success against Finland in Geneva on the same day.

In their match against the United States, Canada initially led 4-1 but faced a response from the Americans who narrowed the gap to one point in the fifth end. Canada then secured two points in the sixth and one in the seventh, leading to the U.S. conceding the final end.

Against Finland, the Canadians found themselves trailing 3-0 after the first end but quickly turned the game around, scoring five in the second, followed by two in the third and one in the fourth to establish an 8-3 lead. Despite Finland’s one point in the fifth end, Canada added two more in the sixth, leading to Finland conceding the final two ends.

Colton Lott expressed satisfaction with their performance and highlighted the need for minor adjustments throughout the tournament. Looking ahead, Canada will face Italy’s Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner, the reigning world champions and Olympic mixed bronze medalists, in their upcoming game on Monday.

The Lott pair, hailing from Gimli, Manitoba, have a successful track record in Canadian mixed doubles championships, with two gold, two silver, and a bronze since 2019. They are now aiming to secure Canada’s first world mixed doubles title.
