“Man Charged with Murder in Happy Valley-Goose Bay”

In connection to the 2023 killing of Franz Drosch in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, a man from Sherbrooke, Que., named David Faucher, 30, has been charged with first-degree murder. Faucher is actively evading the Newfoundland and Labrador RCMP and is the subject of a Canada-wide arrest warrant. It is believed that Faucher is currently in the Sherbrooke region but may also have ties to the Trois-Rivières area of Quebec and Mexico.

Authorities state that Faucher is potentially driving a grey 2026 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with a Quebec licence plate number FTV 8960. Described as five foot 11 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds with brown eyes, Faucher is advised to be considered dangerous, and the public is urged not to approach him. If spotted, individuals are instructed to contact 911 immediately.

Law enforcement officials are requesting anyone with information regarding Faucher’s whereabouts to come forward. The tragic incident took place at a Happy Valley-Goose Bay residence, claiming the life of 43-year-old Drosch.
